Drop everything in

Your bank statement, the invoices and receipts, and the list of invoices the tax office already has for you. Pastinha reads PDFs and photos of receipts; at launch you will also be able to forward invoices by email.

See exactly what is missing

Every payment is paired with its document. What is left is a short list, each line with one button: add it, ask the supplier, or say why there is none (a salary, a bank charge, a transfer between your own accounts).

Close the month

Your accountant gets one folder: every document renamed by date and supplier, the matched statement, and anything still missing, listed plainly in Portuguese.

Two things that save the most time

The tax office already knows about most of your invoices.

Every invoice issued with your NIF is listed on the e-Fatura portal. Pastinha compares that list with your statement, so a missing PDF for a known invoice becomes one polite email, not a mystery.

And when a letter arrives, you know what it is.

Drop in a letter from Finanças or Segurança Social. Pastinha tells you who sent it, what kind of letter it is, the amount, the deadline and the reference, then sends it to your accountant with one button.

What does the pilot ask of me?+
Download your bank statement each month, drop in the invoices you have, and look at the short list of what is missing. In the first month we do it with you on a call.
What happens after two months?+
You decide: stay on €29 a month, move to €89 if you want us to do it with you, or stop. Every folder you made is yours to keep.
Do I need to give you my bank login?+
No. You download a statement file from your bank, the way you would for your accountant. We never ask for your bank password.
What if my accountant does not want to use it?+
They do not have to. Pastinha gives you a folder you can email to them as it is.
Is Pastinha an accountant?+
No. In Portugal your accounts are done by a certified accountant (contabilista certificado), and that does not change. Pastinha makes sure they get everything, on time, without the back and forth.
Do I need to change my invoicing software?+
No. Keep issuing invoices the way you do now. Pastinha reads the invoices your software produces and the ones your suppliers send you.
Which banks does it work with?+
Any bank that lets you download your statement as a CSV file. We are testing the main Portuguese banks and Revolut during the pilot. Direct bank connections will come later through a licensed provider; until then, a monthly download is all it takes.
What about the e-Fatura list?+
On the Finanças portal you can download the invoices issued to your NIF as a file. Pastinha reads it and uses it to tell a missing PDF apart from a missing invoice. It is optional, and it makes the missing list shorter.
Who can see my documents?+
In the preview, nobody: your files are read inside your own browser and never uploaded. In the full version, only you and the accountant you invite. Every business will sign a data processing agreement with us, files will stay in the EU, and you can download everything and leave at any time.

It is built for any business in Portugal. We are starting with a small pilot in the Algarve, where we live and work.

  2. 2. On the call we look at one month of your paperwork together. You do not send us anything before that.
  3. 3. If it fits, we invite your accountant and start with this month.
